Position Summary |
As the Electrical Assistant, you will support our business by assisting Electricians with installations, maintenance, and material coordination of electrical systems. This position requires a focus on safety awareness and protocol and working to the Dvele Standard.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
Assist with the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
Drill holes for wiring and pull wiring through opening
Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring
Connect electrical systems to power lines
Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site
Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
Test and troubleshoot system problems, help resolve electrical issues as needed
Inspect work and ensure quality is maintained throughout all steps of the project
Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and free of unnecessary debris
Other job duties as assigned

Education & Certifications:
A High School diploma or GED credential is preferred
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical work or a related industry is required

Use their hands, wrists, and fingers to manipulate, control, or feel objects, tools, or equipment

Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls, equipment, tools, etc.
Able to distinguish the details of objects regardless of distance
Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects
Adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects
Determine the distance between objects
Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing
Must be able to lift, move, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects of at least 75 pounds
Work near moving mechanical parts and commercial machinery
Communicate and exchange accurate information clearly with others.
Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals
Work in areas in excess of 10 ft above the ground
Frequent exposure to high noise levels
